Memory Problems with Motorola Triumph

Hi all! I'm new here so please be gentle..

I have had a Motorola Triumph for about the last year and I love this phone and my carrier (Virgin Mobile). About 6 months ago I have begun experiencing profound memory issues with the phone for some reason. I basically had to uninstall all my applications to start receiving text messages again and am continually having to delete message threads as well to continue to receive new ones. I'm not sure what the issue is. My smart phone is now dumb since I don't have any apps on it and I was wondering if anyone else had issues with this and if so, how did you solve them? I'd really like to make my phone 'smart' again.

PS. Don't be afraid to tell me to root it or anything, I've messed around as a software developer for a bit and know my way around toys (for the most part).

Thanks!

very common problem, as they forgot to disable some logging when they released the phone.

First you must get root access, then delete the alog files in /data.

you will bee good temporarily.

Permanent fix is to then revoke write access to the newly recreated (and still small) alog files, or install a different (non-stock) rom.

If you need help with any of that, post back.
