Message times off

Lurker
For some reason, whenever I receive a message it says the message arrived an hour earlier, screwing up the order that the messages are listed in. How do I fix this? I bought the phone in the UK and am using it in the U.S., so I had to change the time (although I had to set the time zone to central time, while I live in NY, as the phone doesn't account for daylight savings or something...).

Anyways, anyone have a solution to this problem?

I would try not using the auto network provided values setting. This would keep any daylight savings changes to occur but it should fix the wrong time error on messages

Auto was not on. And now that I've turned it on, the same problem still occurs only it says my messages are being sent an hour from now and incoming messages at the current time. What the hell.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I'd imagine it's due to the messages being timestamped by the messaging centre. If you're still using the UK messaging centre the messages will always have the UK timestamp on them. Unless you set the phone to use UK time you'll probably always have the issue.

Again, I'm no expert so I'm only guessing. I'm pretty sure that the message centre timestamps the messages though, because sometimes I'll receive messages late and they will have the correct time on them rather than the time they actually arrived at my phone.
