Root [MetroPCS] ANyone else with audio dropout listening to mp3s

Just curious what everyone’s experience is like playing mp3s with the F6 and which ROM you are using.

I had been on the latest release of Carbon forever until mid-February. When I listened to mp3s with my earbuds in I would get occasional dropouts. This past month I reverted to Hroark’s KK port and experience the same audio dropout while listening to music. I thought it was due to the earbuds falling apart as there is obvious wear with inner wires starting to come out. However, I recently began using a blue tooth adaptor to listen to mp3s through the car stereo and am noticing the same audio dropouts. It can’t be because of loose/frayed wires, or a faulty earphone jack since blue tooth is wireless.

It’s been too long since I’ve been on the stock ROM but I don’t think I recall the audio dropouts. I will likely restore the original ROM this weekend and test but am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue.

Thanks,

P.S. I use (have been using) Rocket Player for years without any issues.

im not 100 percent on this but i think there is an issue with kitkat roms and bluetooth.idk never used bluetooth on it there are some minor bugs tho.as far as normal earphones ive never had an audio dropout.idk personally i would retest with some good wired ones.also the cheaper you go in earphones/headsets the cheaper you will always get in audio quality.i think skullcandies work the best as far as wired goes.wireless tho,as i said idk never tried it.

Yeah I was getting that on Carbon with hroark's camfix kernel. Just decided to switch over to Xperion since a new overclock and underclock kernel just got released. Definitely don't experience that stuff anymore. I remember when I used my over-ear headphones over my ear buds I wouldn't experience the audio dropouts. Odd.

I spent Saturday installing Bard's Dana ROM. I spent about 45 minutes listening to music with wired earbuds and didn't experience any audio dropout. Spent my drive in to work this morning blasting tunes through bluetooth and again did not experience any audio dropout.

It could have been a funky problem with my KK installs but so far the Dana ROM is working splendidly!
