Also, if you do unroot and for whatever reason the update notification won't come up (it didn't for me once in my many complete resets because I messed something up ) go to Settings>About Phone>Check For Updates, it should be the option at the top.

I upgraded by flashing this:

I then flashed Xperion by Game Theory... its a awesome ROM.

I never lost root and it was easy as flashing a custom ROM.

it's about the same if i'm correct but if you have any problems tethering make a thread on the forums and we will help you as much as we can

I'd recommend posting it in the rom thread other than making a new thread

But i can answer that question, tethering is the same as stock, you have to use the tethering guide we have here

I tried all that but in android tuner i cant find hostpd to kill and when i tried to change set stick guid it wouldnt make the changes. What am i missing?

Is the tethering app on? it doesn't show up until tethering is on

So when i click kill on it, do i restart wifi or is it good as is, and also would android tether remember the task on bootup?

Just kill it and continue on with tethering, you will have to repeat the process again yourself since hostapd doesnt turn on at boot.

Oh nice it worked! But i can only tether my tablet, my ps3 connects but metro blocks it, i read to kill dhcpcd but it didnt work. Do you have any suggestions?
