Help mhl connection not working with my desire eye

I purchased a mhl adapter kit set everything up tried to plug my HTC desire eye up and nothing happened. I've changed hdmi cables, restarted my phone, but nothing works.

Yeah, I saw that comment on XDA, but according to every review site and the HTC specs page, it doesn't have it.

So the rep was wrong that sucks So dlna is the only other way?

That or HTC Connect.

That's an HTC device that hooks up to your TV, acts mostly like wireless hdmi.

I've moved over to a Chromecast, it's a lot better than DLNA and doesn't care about the phone brand.
