mic not working

My microphone on my phone stopped working n I need to kno how to fix it. I have android lg straighttalk

It's likely a hardware issue. There's a slight possibility that a factory reset could fix the issue, but I'd take it in and see if you can get it repaired. It's not worth losing all your data for that slight possibility of the factory reset helping.
