Root Mobile Hotspot Possibilty

So today after doing some tinkering with a stock admire i realized that if one uses a launcher from the Playstore you can access the Sprint Mobile Hotspot App within the admire. I know that the configuration files for Hotspot are within the Settings.apk inside the XML folder. i think i found their exact location too within the folder, an xml file title tether... anyways since Spz0 got the hotspot to work on his rom, Open Android(go flash that ish!!!), would it be possible to take the configurations files from the OA rom and override/tinker the configurations files within the stock admire to enable the hotspot to work. just a thought i had, many it could take off but i doubt it.
I would try this myself but I dont have Spz0 greenlight to start stripping down his rom and i havent had the best luck with making flashable zip before lol (kagebeast knows my pain) If any one could get Spz0's approval to attempt this it would be great

I would start by running a diff on the two files in question then making the appropriate changes to the original file - - see if that flies. ;-)

maybe ill attempt this within the next couple of days, see where it takes me. school, honor classes and tests are a pain. gotta hit the books for now.

EDIT: im already getting the feeling that this is gonna involve much more than just one simple XML file touch up lol but im game to try this and see how far it takes me.


EDIT: so my first attempt at his proved futile. it appears that changing the XML accordingly will not approve enable the use of the sprint mobile hotspot within the admire. i also tried the noob way of just replacing the entire settings.apk, that obviously didnt work will continue to work on this as much as i can.

Edit: im still trying to see if i can configure these files make the hotspot work
