Moto G Available to Order

It is available to pre-order from Amazon and ships on 4 December.

After ordering I realize it is not T-Mobile compatible. So I may have one for sale.

I was looking at the global, the US's model does have 1700 MHz.

Networks

UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
US GSM Model: GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 1700 (AWS), 1900 MHz)
CDMA Model: CDMA/EVDO Rev A (850, 1900 MHz)
Both GSM models require a micro SIM card.

That's a relief, 'cause I'm thinking of one of these after the 1st of the year (can we say from tax refund :) ) and have pretty much convinced the CFO (my wife) that it'll be a good phone.
 
The Moto G listed on Amazon are the global version, at least for now. Someone mention the global version may not get all of Tmo's bandwidth, compared to the US version. I do not travel out of the country so I will be getting the US version from Motorola.
 
Oh, forgot to mention that the main reason I'm glad for it, is that I'm planning on putting it on Metro's BYOD program. I really am happy with the service and plans that my wife and I are on. Now that Metro is on T-Mobiles network I think we'll get just as good, if not better service here in the DFW area.

Are they going to charge your credit card/debit card once it ships or did they take the money after placing order?

Last week Motorola site was showing it will ship starting Dec. 2 but now it is showing Dec. 9.

Mine is scheduled for Dec 9th. They charged my card when ordered, then reversed it the next day. I'm assuming they will charge my card again when it ships.
 
I was thinking of placing the order now, but I don't get paid until Friday. I can wait till Thursday after midnight to place the order to be on the safe side!

Looking at picking one up myself for purely a media consumption device. I stream music through my G2 at work, but working in a bakery, I don't like getting flour and whatnot all over my daily driver. My old Gnex is close to dead so it's not even an option. I think Amazon is saying it'll ship on the 11th. Lots of 3rd party retailers have it too.... for a premium. :rolleyes:

Edit: Whelp, Amazon is listing it as out of stock with no ETA. Anyone know of somewhere that has it in stock?

So Amazon do have the US version? I ordered mine this morning from Motorola and I haven't heard anything. The website show it should ship on the 9th with 2 day shipping.

Yep, both the 8 and 16Gb. I believe both the Int'l ones are out of stock (with no ETA). Since I'm really not using it as a phone, it didn't matter much to me.
