Help Music is on SD card, wont show up in music player

So I recently bought a Huawei Ascend ad until yesterday when I connected my phone to my laptop via usb all of my music showed up in my music player. But once I disconnected it, everything but the song that I downloaded via the app store disappeared. It all still shows up though when I go to my ringtone settings and select to choose my ringtone via my music. But I don't only want to listen to songs when I get a notification or a call. Please help!

you may need to get an app like es explorer and navigate the card until you find them. Your music player could have moved them

After installing the es explorer I noticed that when I transferred my music to my phone it changed everything from a mp3 file type to a wma file. Why is it doing this? Even with the es explorer I can only play very few of my songs because it has done this.

Definitely seems to be something going on. I've never run into this issue. What happens if you change the extention back to mp3

I can't seem to move my music from USB mass storage to a music player. Any ideas how to do this?
