Help Music player - small gap between songs

Have been using the HTC and Android music players, both pretty decent and do the job. However when listening to a mix album where the songs - despite being separate files - mix into each other, there's a small gap/delay as it stops playing one song and starts the other.

The Android player's gap is shorter than the HTC version (which is a shame as I like the HTC's widget), but there's still a gap. Is there anything I can do to either widget so that there's no small delay? Or alternatively is there a music player out there that will play the songs with no gap?

I'll bump this one with an answer and question.

I am using Lithium Music Player and it has a configurable buffer to make songs mix into one another. I love it.

Does anyone know if there are any other players that do that? So far it seems to be unique to Lithium.

There aren't any finished players that support true gapless yet. Rockbox does it but its in the early beta stages. Poweramp is supposed to support it in version 2. For now I've gone back to my old cds and ripped them in ogg as that plays gap free. Converting existing mp3s won't work and crossfading/setting the gap manually doesn't do a good enough job for me. It's annoying how Android seems to be so far behind on this.

The answer is really easy.....as a radio DJ here in England, download an app called "Party Mixer" Best part of all is that all features are free ! Add your playlist and then look for the auto DJ feature, can't tell you where it is as I don't know what phone you are using but believe me it is there ! The playlist will then mix itself without gaps...you can set the time for the mix in settings !
You can also use it as a stand alone and use the cross fade feature....hope this helps....enjoy.....Gerry.

Yes there is "Party Mixer"....with auto DJ feature ! Enjoy. (and its free).
