Help Mute?

Is there a way to quickly shut off all the volume of the A500? I use it in a classroom and I dont want to hear emails coming in or keyboard clicks. It would really be cool if there was an app that would let me shut off volume for periods of time and then after say 60 minutes have elapsed, turn all sounds back on. Thanks for any pointers.

You could make a volume widget on ur homescreen, I use elixir widget for that.

I dont have any experience with automatic mute or unmute apps.

You could always plug in a pair of headphones.

I realise I'm a bit late with a reply on this, but I'm sure that you could use Tasker to set a profile that turns the volume to zero - Tasker can let you do it by location (if your GPS is active) or by time of day and day of week.

I use an app on my Android phone called Profile Scheduler that works great for turning off sounds during different parts of the day or night. Not sure if it would work on the tablet but worth checking out.
