Help MXPE Problems - Grainy Video

OK so I've given this Moto X Pure a month or so and I'm not happy. The #1 problem is grainy video (I'm not happy with battery life, either). I can't take video without it looking like crap. I just took a 4K video of my puppy and, yes, grainy beyond belief. So, anyone with a MXPE, any similar experiences and/or suggestions?

No problems here. Until you actually post a sample, "graininess" is purely subjective.

Is this indoors? If so, it may exhibit graininess. Shoot a video outdoors in good sunlight...how does that look?

The battery life on my MXPE is pretty good and it should improve when we get Marshmallow. My videos have all been in sunlight and they look as good as those I took with my Note 4. I have to agree with @shmn, though -- the MXPE camera is not good in low light, for photos or videos.

This is in no way subjective. The video is bad. There is also good light. I can easily compare to my Note 3 that has no issue whatsoever with video.

Have you cleaned the lens? Are there any signs of damage?

I don't recall the MXPE shipping with a removable plastic lens cover... I'm stumped. My pics are nothing like this. You may want to contact Motorola, because you might have gotten a bum camera sensor. That's all I can think of.

For indoor video that wasn't bad. No camera phone shoots well indoors. The moto x pure in good lighting takes amazing videos.
