Root need a rom for f6 on metro pcs (12b) with WORKING mobile data.

Just as the title says .i want a new rom but i don't want one that messes up my radio as I'm currently using it on metro pcs without a backup phone.

Im running 12b firmware. Rooted with twrp v3. Busybox and xposed installed.


The only real requirement for me with a custom rom is i want mobile data to work with no fuss right after flashing.

Anyone have good experiences with a f6 rom on metro pcs? (Did you flash the f6 radio or not...please specify) and no i dont even know if an f6 radio is available
 
I was looking at that rom but i noticed a couple users were reporting no data or unusually slow data. I have had similar issues with other lg phones and roms where either data/ calls/texts weren't working or in the case of one rom there was a radio to flash from recovery and it took a dozen or so attempts over two days before it began to work at all.

So im looking for one that someone can confirm mobile data works on metro pcs (ie they have a custom rom on their metro lg f6 and accually have it active on metro)
 
So just to clarify you're running game theory's xperion rom on the f6 and you currently have it active with metro pcs without mobile data issues?
 
If yes did you just follow the instructions on the first post? Or is anything different or additional needed?

Im Slightly shocked you don't need flash the radio/modem. This is news to me he must've done a really great job with it.


Btw have you had tether throttled using that rom?
 
Just make a backup in twrp recovery and then flash "ANY" rom you want following the instructions that come with the rom. If you don't like the rom you flashed then restore your backup or flash another rom. Twrp recovery makes it that simple and quick to jump roms.

By the way my rom doesn't have data issues. I didn't modify anything to do with data and left that stuff stock so there's no reason for there to be an issue.

To figure out how to tether if it hasn't been blocked yet by the carrier, go to the wifi tether thread and look through it. There's directions for all roms. T-mo/Metro are actively trying to block/throttle tether so not sure if you'll get full unthrottled tether these days.

Ive only been hesitant because as far as I'm aware there's no button combo to get to my recovery on boot (ie in the event of bootloop) because my bootloader is locked. I boot into twrp from app provided by another user here. I forget his name. Starts with a H . The file was called twrp v3 or similar.

It's also the way i had to boot into recovery for my old lg motion.

In the event of a bootloop etc how can you boot into recovery with a button combo?

Or would kdz method be the only way then id have to root and reflash twrp AND THEN id be able to restore my backup or what
