Root Need help with 2.2.1

I reactivated my ally for giggles (my Droid2 died), and I want to put Velocity back on it. But the Froyo.zip link and its mirror are no longer working. I tried V6 restore method but after waiting about 10-15 minutes my phone didn't show up.

Does anyone have the Froyo.zip file on file anywhere that they could possibly let me procure from them? It would be much appreciated!

yeah i was hoping for some updates on the process. i got that file and can't seem to follow the root guide instructions with it as the file seems different compared to the instructions. if you can get the processs down right i would be gratefull if you could relay step by step how to do it with the new project froyo folder...
