New android user noob question.

Hi guys i have just bought a Smasung galaxy S after looking round for a while.

I have seen a lot of videos on youtube of the phone like the one at this link YouTube - ‪Samsung Galaxy S Android Phone - Hands-On‬‎ at 02:07 the keyboard has white keys.

On my phone the keys are black which im guessing is default android keyboard. Is there a setting to change the colour of the keys or is it an app that has been added like better keyboard or something?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The one in the video is running the 'Swype' keyboard, which comes preinstalled on your phone I believe.

I don't know much about your phone and the software it comes with, but it's possible you're using the stock android keyboard , or you have a different skin for swype.

Does your keyboard have the same layout as the one in that video? With the S key in the bottom left and so on? And when you drag your finger over the keys a blue line appears? That would mean you're using Swype.

Yes I have the swype activated. It looks exactly the same barring the colour of the keys. I like the look of the white keys better.

In that case, maybe you'd be best off asking in the Samsung Galaxy S section about swype skins :)

On my phone, which doesn't have it's own swype built in, the only way to change the appearence was to install a modified .apk.
