I just found a swype beta file revision 6826.

Just installed it on the Incredible and it seems to be much more forgiving.

They also seemed to change the notification sounds.

Does the new version include the microphone icon for speech to text? That is the one and only thing I do not like about Swype.

I was about to respond with a "no...no mic on the keyboard" and then just saw that quote.

I'm not finding that. When I hit menu while typing, I get the menu for whatever App I'm in (e.g. in GMail I get all the gmail menu commands, in the stock messaging I get those menu commands)
 
ok I might sound stupid but I am still waiting for my phone so in not very familiar with the android system yet. What is the app you guys are talking about and what does it do? And is it worth it, and what type of person is this app designed for? I own my own business and live on my phone, e-mail, phone, weather, sms, mms, internet, will this app help me?

If you watch this video its probably the best comparison I have found. It's using Swype on an Omnia II versus typing normally on the iPhone. Neither of which is our phone but it gets the point across.

I never said you did, now did I? :rolleyes:

darkfiber posted a link to the Swype APK and I have since deleted that post.
 
Just out of curiosity, does this version have the keyboard with the red letters? I'm loving the red letters with this phone.
 
I went back to the 125 version. The new color of the word choice window is awful (blue text on black). Other than that I didn't notice any performance differences.

125 works fine on my phone, so I will stick with it.
