Hi, got my Hero yesterday, spent most of the day getting to grips with it, setting up email etc and getting some apps installed (google sky maps, dolphin browser, sms popup, 3G watchdog, not call log and proximity sensor to name but a few)
I was toying with getting the iPhone 3Gs after playing around with a friends but i reckon i've made the right choice
This forum looks really good and i've learned quite a bit in the last couple of days of reading many threads, no doubt i'll have some questions for you soon
