Nexus 6P COLORS

Did I read somewhere that the GRAPHITE version of the Nexus 6P has a slightly less smooth finish (which translates into less-likely-to-slip-out-of-your-hand), compared to the ALUMINUM or FROST (white) versions?

I was just about to order a 64-GB Nexus 6P but -- even tho reportedly all colors and storage options were in stock earlier today (Nov. 20), the Google Store says it's now out of stock, you have to go on "wait list" (and Google I spoke to by phone says she has no word when they're back in stock).

So I was thinking of ordering the Aluminum or Frosty, which are in stock in 64-GB .... but wondering if I should go on wait list for Graphite if in fact it is the back surface of that version is "matte" or textured, rather than smooth & shiny and slippery.

Thanks!

Do you plan on going "naked" with the phone? I always have a naked screen but put a non slip case on the phone so it really does not matter what the stock feel is to the phone. (or the color)
Just my 2 cents worth :)

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a good comparison of the colors. I have the impression, based on reviews I watched, that the Frost is less slippery but can't seem to find a good source where someone actually compares the feel of the different phones. Having said that, my Frost does not seem as slippery as others have described the aluminum, or even the graphite.

Having said that, I still use a case on my phone -- though it doesn't have to do with "slipperiness". Instead, it is a combination of how thin the phone is combined with wanting to keep the phone looking great. I'm using a Spigen Hybrid clear case, so I can still see the great looks of the phone but still provide protection in case of minor drops and dings.

I have the Frost color and the back is slick! but so far no issues with it slipping from my hand but then only had it since last Friday.

wish there were retailers who carried screen protectors and cases for the nexus 6p I dislike buying online never get to see it as good as holding item in my hands.

the frost color is a satin white finish go look at home depot or? and look at color swatch of a satin white house paint and then you will at least know that color for sure. hope this helps you

There are many vendors in malls here in my city (Metro Vancouver) that sell cases and screen protectors. Right now, the selection is small. I would have liked a red one, but they don't have soft cases in that colour. I got the black one instead. This is the first Android phone I used where I got a case for it. I am impressed with how good it feels and looks with the case on. My last phone had an extended battery, so cases won't fit. The one before had a landscape slider keyboard and there were no cases for that phone, probably due to the slider mechanism.
