Root Nexus 7 (2012) Rooted with CWM now bricked

Hello all,
Normally I would be able to fix this myself.

I have a Asus Nexus 7 (2012). It is rooted with CWM. I always had "system update" notification. Finally clicked on it. after it did it's thing, it went to what looked like the bootload screen (Android on his back), and ask to fix root. So I clicked confirm.... and now it does nothing. Stupid me thinking a factory reset would fix it, or formatting it would fix it. I also cleared out all the cache like a dummy.

It also is not seen by the PC. I tried to reinstall drivers with no success.

So what do you guys think? Is it finished or savable?

And help would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

The PC doesn't pick it up at all? If you go in to Device Manager on your PC, does it register as a device?

Have you tried other cables/USB ports?

It does sound savable, but you would definitely need to be able to connect it to your PC though.

If you are having trouble with viewing it in Windows why not try a Linux Live CD to see if you can access it. Many Distros have adb tools that you can install from the repositories from a command prompt you can use fastboot to reflash your recovery. Make sure the bootloader is unlocked first.

I recommend either Fedora or OpenSuse as I know both of these have adb in their repositories. Just download the Custom recovery over to the live cd /usb which ever you use (usb recommended for write access) then issue the fastboot command to flash the recovery.

fastboot flash recovery /path/to/recovery.img

Doesn't see it all. First thing I did was switch cables. Quite a pain

Unfortunately I don't have that program, nor know anything about it, and time really isn't on my side to donate to it. I tried an adb package as well, and no success on that. Thank you for the suggestion, though.

I'll just wait a bit and find a deal on a newer one. :)
