Just curious but do you even have the rotation turned on? go to Settings > Sound & Display > Orientation

I'm having the same problem as htcdreamg1 is having on my android. My orientation is turned on in settings, but when i rotate my phone, nothing happens. When i slide out the keyboard, it will rotate, but will not rotate back unless i go to home screen. Any suggestions?

well most builds will not rotate just the home screen you will need some function open and running to rotate like an app or keyboard etc... and should rotate back depending on the direction of your phone if it doesnt you may have an issue with your accelerometer....

It happens when I have a browser open, no rotation unless i slide out the keyboard, but then it's stuck in landscape rotation until i go to home screen. it was working fine until a few days ago. any suggestions on how to fix the accelerometer? or should i call tmobile?

i would try pulling the battery and sim for a minute or so than rebooting the phone that helps also make sure you dont have a lot of browser pages open clear browser cache too... see if that works and post back...

you could always try a rested
kind of sucks but it may be your only option

my accelerometer just completely stopped working a few days after I got the phone
I ended up getting a new one
it has been working fine so far though =]

Here's an update: I did a complete factory reset per tmobile's help desk and the orientation is now working. hopefully no more issues or they said they would replace.
