Help No Geolocation on 3g

I have a problem which I cannot figure out at all. For years now, Ive used data networks to show my location on weather apps and maps without problems, but now I can't seem to get it to work.
My location settings are correct, but when I go on Google maps it doesn't pick up my location. I have to turn on GPS for it to find me. Ive never had this before. My BBC weather app won't show current location when refreshed either.

On 3g, whilst in maps, I try to log out and then login to my G account but it says "something went wrong, try again later" every time, but on WIFI, I have no problems.

My location settings are set to Battery saving mode, with loaction reporting Off and location history On. Ive googled this, but can't find similar enough issues elsewhere.

The only thing I can think is that Location mode isn't set to High accuracy

Settings .. Location .. Mode .. High accuracy

That tells the phone to use WiFi and the mobile network as well as GPS.

FIXED **

I realised I had turned Goggle services background data off around the same time as this occurred. I turned it back on again and voila!
