Root No stock backup

I just noticed while going through my backup folder that I only have a most recent backup of my current ROM. Somewhere along the way with all the updates and upgrades I performed I lost my stock ROM.

Is this a particularly bad thing and something worth worrying about? I know there are ROMs I can flash that will put me almost back to stock if need be.

I personally wouldn't worry about it. I don't have mine on my phone, but have it on my computer... just in case. Of what, I have no idea. ;)

Speaking of which, what would anyone really need the stock ROM for, anyway? I think I remember reading that you need it to activate the phone obviously. Anything else?

Other than reverting back to stock to sell your phone. No
