Root no WiFi or Bluetooth

Lurker
I would really appreciate any help I can get on this. All of a sudden I can't get WiFi or Bluetooth to turn on. Tried changing kernels, ROMs,etc. I was running aosb, then went to viper one then tried crom and on any of them it's the same thing no WiFi or Bluetooth. I have the HTC m8 vzw rooted, soff and I really don't know where else to go from here. Also I have twrp installed and when trying to restore my backups I'm getting no operating system installed. After doing a restore of a backup it will say no operating system installed. Don't get this please help. Can I do a factory reset via the phone without losing root and soft? Is that worth a try?

I moved this over to the all things root section for you.

Did your backup contain the /system partition?

If you were going to factory reset anyway I would wipe system, data, cache and dalvik, don't wipe internal storage, then try a fresh install of your rom.

Long press power for 10 seconds when done rebooting after a fresh rom install.

If Viper, wipe from within the installer.

Did you accept any OTAs after rooting?
