So I'm about to load up my Samsung Evo + 128gb micro sd card with about 90gb. Crazy, I know. I'll try to keep it short, but I did it the other day but I think there were just too many folders for my phone to go through and not show up/freeze (music> artist> album > song). So I'm trying again but I'm wondering if there's a better (or safer) way to transfer from my pc (Windows 7) to the card? Right now, my line of thinking is to plug my phone in with the USB with the sd card installed, pull up my external hard drive, pull up all the music file types via search bar and "*.*", and then just click and drag.
While I'm 90% sure that will be fine, I'm moving all the files into one folder which means that I'm going to have problems with songs named the same (I.e. "Into" or live vs studio recordings). I tried this on a smaller scale and when I would click "leave in destination" and tick the "do this for all" option, the transfer would stop...? I don't know.
Recap: is there a better way to move music files from pc to phone than just click & drag?
Bonus: how can I avoid problems with files being named the same? I want to KEEP all files without overwriting or skipping (there's no way I'll find those tracks unless I make a note EVERYTIME it happens).
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
