Help Noob needs help with wi-fi

Can someone PLEASE walk this poor noob through fixing wifi on a rooted kindle. Ive tried multiple Jellybean roms and finally unrooted back to stock rom and still cant get wi-fi to turn on . Pretend i dont know about this stuff because i barely do ( i have jailbroke iphone multiple times with min trouble). HELP!!!!!!

I'll try and help. Whats it do when you try to connect. Does it stay stuck on "acquiring IP address" ? You could always try completely resetting to factory settings. Thats been known to help some people get over the wifi problem. Go to the gear icon (settings), then More, then Device, then Reset. Resetting your router helped some, whereas others had to change to a static IP instead of using a DHCP address (check your router's manual). This is done by turning off Wi-Fi on the Kindle Fire, deleting all DHCP records on the router, and then resetting the router. I'll look more into it. But first, which rom did you flash when you noticed the wifi stopped working? Maybe thatll give us a clue. Or was it even before you did anything?
