Root Noob to Rooting

Hi all,
I'm trying to root my htc inspire 4g, which is the htc desire hd. I'm using the AAHK. I've looked all over to find my problem with no luck.I thought I set it up properly, but when I copy the pass key into the command line a pop up comes up and says, "There is no disk in the drive\Device\Harddisk5\DR14."
I did clean the micro sd card and reformatted it to FAT32 if that has anything to do with it.
I appreciate any help.

Sorry to hear you're having problems with rooting. Thanks, I followed your recommendation, and posted to Scotty. That process is way over my head. I'm probably stuck with my stock Inspire till I get a new phone.
