Help Noticeable Light Bleed?

jimingo

Newbie
I have slight light bleed in all the corners of my Nexus 9, should I return it or suck it up and love my new toy? This is my second unit from Amazon and I don't feel like getting another.

That I did. I'm curious as to long term damage to my tablet light bleed might cause, if any? Should I settle for a known manufacturing defect? I guess the point of this post is to gauge what others are doing with their Nexus 9 with light bleeding.

I can only notice mine when screen is completely black. And its minimal and doesn't bother me.

Really up to whether it bothers you or not.

Same here, a black screen makes mine noticable but im not often looking at black screens so its no big deal to me. To answer your question, no it won't harm anything. Nexus tablets, especially the first production batches always seen to have these little quark's.

light bleed will not damage anything. there will be SOME light bleed in all of these tablets. its a part of the manufacturing process. some may see less light bleed than others so YMMV.

one should not wonder what other people are doing, as each persons view of light bleed will vary.

if the light bleed is a bother to you, return it. it is not guaranteed if you will get one with better or worse light bleed, so keep that in mind.

Build versions will also not give one an idea if its better or worse. any mass produced product on an assembly line will have QC issues.

Thank you everybody for your thoughts on this matter. I am going with my initial instinct and keeping this beast. Thread can now be closed if the mods wish it. Now off to play me some Royal Revolt 2!
