Notification bar won't pull down

Sorry, I'm sure there's a very simple solution to this, but I can't for the life of me work out what it is. For some reason my notification bar won't pull down at all - everything else on the phone appears to be working absolutely fine, initially I thought it may have been the launcher (I use Nova) so tried the stock launcher but the same thing's happening.

Would appreciate some help if anyone knows why this has happened and how to fix it. Thanks in advance!

I assume you tried re-starting the phone ..?

Might be memory related .. unlikely, as Android is pretty good at managing memory but it's possible some app has gone off the rails. Try going through the apps in Setting and manually shutting them down one at a time until (hopefully) things start working again.

if that doesnt work you might have to try gesture settings in one of the launchers.

(swipe down brings up notifications)
