Help Nvidia games compatability?

Would the optimus 3D be able to play games that are optimised for nvidia powered phones, just as good if not better than the nvidia phones themselves? According to all the bench mark tests the 3D is one of the top performers currently out there, but it's OMAP 4 processor works differently to Tegra 2... would nvidia and other android games have to be programmed differently for them to use the 3D's full potential?
