[OFFICIAL] I Just Ordered the Nexus 9/ worth purchasing?

Hoping for more info on it. Would like wireless charging for it is so convenient. But not a deal breaker for me.

I noticed that they've done away with the 7 inch model. Unless I'm missing something. Pretty disappointing. $399? I'll go ahead and grab an 8 inch Samsung for 1/2 the price. Weird change in the business model.

There is a specs page on the info page that you can expand. Not sure if you saw that.

I've always thought the 7 was too small. Now with the Nexus 6 it is even smaller relatively speaking.

The size is what I liked. I'll never go back to a tablet I have to hold with two hands. I started with the Motorola Xoom, then purchased a Nexus 7, then a 7 2. The Nexus moved on, so I will move on from Nexus. Stock Android has its downsides also. I've become a much bigger fan of Samsung's tweaks to android over the years.

With pre-orders starting tomorrow, I imagine there will be quite a few people wanting to spead the joy! Tell us which one you ordered!!

Let's see which AF'er can get a confirmed order first. Ready........GO!!! :D

On Samsung's tweaks, we're the opposite. I am tiring of Samsung. However, on the size, we agree. I loved that my N7 was compact. I passed my Thrive 10 to my wife in order to get the N7 (2012) and then I got the N7 2013. I will have to look at the N9 to see if I think it is too big for me. If there is such a camp, 8 inches is probably where I would have fallen. I think that is as big as I would have gone.

I'm currently using a Dell Venue 8, I think from 2013. The size is great. Swyping is difficult, but I think that would be the case for any tablet. Still undecided if I will get a Nexus 9. If anything it would be the LTE version. Not sure if I'm ready to drop that kind of cheese on it.

It's always been this way with Nexus devices since the Nexus 4. Google is trying to get us away from the extra SD card. I'm not sure if there is a way around it, but I'm not sure if SD cards work with Android 4.4.2+.

SD cards do work with 4.4.2+, but Google are not fans.

As for why no option bigger than 32GB, Google have always assumed people don't need much storage. The Nexus 5 was the first Nexus phone to even offer 32GB (apart IIRC from a CDMA N4 variant, which wouldn't work in most of the world). I think they assume that everyone streams everything (a bias from being a web company? ).

Hmm. Not sure what the issue is, but with my Dell Venue 8 when I specify that my netcasts be saved to the SD card it always saves it internally. Maybe it is an issue with the program am I using.

This tablet looks awesome but I'm leaning for the Nexus 6 I think. Size easy to carry on me. Pants and jacket. Then who knows maybe I will go for both. maybe the Nexus 9 will be a Xmas gift to self. Both look so good. :)

Where did you order it from? It looks like the options at the google site are still greyed out: Nexus 9 ? Google

I'm still on the fence about whether I want to get it. Maybe you are in Europe and they have already started selling there?
Not in Europe☺ Ordered from Amazon. Wasn't up yet on Google Play or Best Buy. Now can't wait for the keyboard.

Any one know if the Nexus 9 has USB-To-Go. I assume rooting plus stickmount or a ROM would address it if not, so not really worried, but just curious if it popped up in the specs anywhere?

LOL! First time for me posting as a first buyer. Do I get a prize for this? Do I have to sign autographs? Am I a forum rock star?
:D While I'd love to give you the supply of staff bacon as a prize, I'm afraid the other mods and guides don't like to share; they'd have my head! :p
I can say with great confidence; however, that you are a forum rock star!!

Hey hook! Should have known I'd see you around these parts! Are you stalking me?!? :p
I'm not sure if it comes otg ready or not, but like you said, there's always stickmount to fall back on. I mean, you were going to root it anyway right? ;)
