Oh crap, Moto "Shadow" is a beast

By the time this hit the US I will be sick of the HTC Passion and will look at getting this.

Thats cool, if somthing really great comes out to get me to give up my Droid its just a matter of putting the Droid on Ebay. It will sell in hours and I guarentee, if its anytime within the next year you will easily get 350- 450 for your droid and it will probably cover the expense of the new phone. Just keep your droid pristeen. Ive dont this before with other High End Phones. I can say rt not, I want the first Verizon phone to come out that is even = to the Droid but without the POS Slider Keyboard!

great, another multi-month wait to end up being disappointed. not for me....
+2

At this point, unless it says COMING TO VERIZON!!!!!11 engraved on the screen, I don't believe it.

Huge screen on a phone that thin looks like it would get about 4 hours/charge.

I've been waiting for "this phone" for months. I've watched as the rumors have morphed from (my, possibly unfounded) hopes of an Android/CDMA version of HTC's HD2, to the Dragon, to the Passion, to the Bravo, to the Incredible, and now to... What? A dark horse from Motorola? Frankly, I'm getting tired of waiting, checking all the tech sites, and getting my hopes up then dashed every week.

I'm a big HTC fan. In fact, I still use my original Touch (AKA Vogue). But I'm beginning to think they've ceded this battle (bringing me the phone I want on Verizon ;) ). The first company to bring a phone to Verizon with a modern processor, big (Droid-size is enough) clear screen, no physical keyboard, and Android will get my business. I couldn't care less about HDMI output, HD video recording, and a lot of that other jazz, but I want it THIN, and with all the other bells and whistles a modern smart phone should have.

I held out hope that HTC would be the company to bring me this phone, but if Motorola can pull one out of their rear end like this, I'll jump ship in a second. Sorry, HTC.

Just read about this phone on Slashdot. I look at this as a challenge to HTC to port Android to the HD2. I think I stated in a post a few weeks ago that if HTC didn't do it, someone else would put out a 4" phone for the masses, honestly, I thought it would be Apple. This is good news, it means HTC now has pressure to get off their butts and give us what we want. I love competition.......
