Help Okay, I may have the appropriate location to ask my QUESTION... I think.

Lurker
I am Currently experiencing some weird issues with my phone.

Manufacture: Samsung
Model: Galaxy Note 3 ( N900A)
Carrier: AT&T
Rooted: NO

SO the issues I have been having are as follows
1. No 4G LTE or 3G connection.
2. Not able to download MultiMedia messages
3. When trying to make a Phone call it will attempt to make call then say out of mobile network

Things I have tried to resolve said issues
1. Replaced SIM card
2. Reset to factory settings
3. Took to a local Cell Tech (phone repair location near my job)
They told me that my IMEI was missing and that there was nothing they could, but to replace entire board. They showed me that that the IMEI was in fact null. They dial I believe *#60# and it said "IMEI null/null". And at that time I had 0 cell signal.
So on my way home from the store I restarted my phone (I have probably done this 1000 times which seems to help with the no signal or low signal (not 4g or 3g)). When it turned back on I noticed that I had 4G connection. So, when I got home I checked to see if the IMEI was back, and to my surprise it was.

I am lost at this point.

Thanks in Advance for all Advise.

I say don't look a horse in the mouth.
As for replacing the mother board, I call bullshit. I've heard of people restoring their efs/IMEI by reflashing firmware using the Odin software for pc so remember that if it happens again.
Ps you can check your IMEI in settings, about phone, status :thumbsupdroid:

Thats what I was thinking.
Yes, I know I can check the IMEI in settings that is how I checked it, because is not so smart like phone repair guy *sarcasm*

So, my phone is acting up again. As of 20 minutes ago, my phone had died (ran out of battery juice) so when I charged it a little and i turned it back on it was not connecting to 4g again. I am attaching pictures of the information my phone is telling me.

Was about to report that actually. You don't want your IMEI in public

So had you fixed it before this latest incident? How?

You have mobile data turned on right? (sorry)
Have you checked your APN?

Thanks, i removed them.

The last incident was "fixed" by restarting my phone from leaving the cell repair store,
Yes, mobile data is turned on.
What in the APN should I be looking for?

This is a bit of a weird one. Usually a a null/null result for checking the IMEI is because the EFS folder is corrupted (EFS is a hidden folder, unique to your phone with information like IMEI, modem, connectivity etc encoded in it.). Usually a corruption is caused by a bad flash or partially failed update of the firmware. I have never heard of a corrupt one working again on it's own.

I suggest using something like this to copy it while it is working, I have never used this one it is just an example. I honestly thought you needed to be rooted to back it up and restore it, but this does not mention needing root :

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mannyvinny.n3efsbackupfree

Then reinstall the firmware, and if it all works - great. If it plays up you have a working copy of your EFS.

Normally if your EFS is corrupted without a backup it can be very hard, if not impossible to restore (it can be done, but only sometimes). This is probably why the repair guy gave you a half truth.

I have corrupted the EFS on my old Galaxy SIII and spent ages taking down a backup I thought I hadn't got.

Good luck.
