... I ordered the Evo from Sprint C.S. today. I've been on waiting lists for 7 weeks and nothing happened - I think being in a 4G city has made the lists long.
My phone for 2 years is a Sprint 2G LG so jumping to the Evo will be much like standing on the tracks in front of a freight train probably. At least I have many years PC experience so that means it will be like standing in front of a freight train holding a pillow for protection.
However, I've already learned a lot in two days by scanning this wonderful forum. Now that I'm registered I need to retrace my steps and thank about a million posters!
