Root One Stop Shopping for Fascinate Kernels

I have to get me sonic the hedgehog and tecmo bowl, that is amazing! I'm seriously in love with the 1200uv. It was the first and last voodoo I flashed, which was flashed on top of geekniks superfast 1.54. Haven't had a single problem with it. My battery used to die half way through the day, now I finish the day with 20 to 30 percent life with the 1200uv. The phone is incredibly fast too. Oh, and I flashed superdark and then the blackish theme on top of that. Once you start it's hard to stop. Anyway, think I'm done modding my phone, unless gingerbread comes out or something!

Funny you should mention it, GB is in the works and Kaosinate ROM is on v2. Still much of the hardware is broke like wifi BT GPS and camera but the rest seems, seems to be ok. If you didnt know thats CM6.2/2.2.1.

But yeah OTB test 5 1200 is my fav too

He reposted them as 1/15 and said he fixed it so that all the kernels are no longer -100.

Anybody try these yet?
Im about to try the -100mv 1/15. I had no problems with 1/13 -100mv since -100mv is my intent anyway. I'll let you know in a minute ;)

Let us know how it goes! If I get a free for a few minutes today (I am running out the door any second now) I will flash the -100mv 1/15.

Kernel seems like making it to the knees on a DL ;), if you get that far the rest is cake city usa :p

For the non-muscleheads that means the -100mv 1/15 kernel is good to go

Flashed it and it is running as good as the 1/8. I'll need some time to see how it performs compared to that one though.

What rom are you guys using? I'm on JT's Super Clean 09 I think, and haven't really looked for any others.
Same here. The reality is everything we have in January is just a revision of something jt1134 did in December. I've been on the same clean v.9 for what like a month now. If it aint broke :D

Same here, and the 1/15 updated kernel is running super smooth with lots of battery life left. I'm loving it.

Is the Imnuts voodoo5 series compatible with DL09? I have not found anything that says one way or another... Everyone says they are interchangeable but I just want to make sure with a straight answer.

Is there a dumbed down reason why Voodoo5 is much safer then prior versions?

Is there a dumbed down reason why Voodoo5 is much safer then prior versions?

the single biggest reason is recovery...since red recovery is adapted for voodoo, it enables to back up/restore/flash roms without disabling voodoo to do so...and the disabling used to lead all the soft bricks/problems

red recovery is the real reason for the improved "safety" of voodoo5

plus with code improvements, it doesnt have the dreaded voodoo slowdown or as many performance issues :)

ok, i installed the regular sv voodoo5 kernel. i'm running on JT's superclean 9 w/ DJ05. is it safe to pre-emptively jump to one of the voodoo5 froyo kernels, or should i wait until after updating to froyo?

thanks nit, i was just a little curious...thought that was going to be the answer, ended up going with the -125 and it's running quite smoothly.

Hey Guys! I'm thinking about making the switch to voodoo. I've been reading everything I can, but it all starts to blend after a while :) I'm on Jt's superclean v9 DJ05 and stupidfast 1.98, DJ05 kernal and radio. As far as I can tell flashing a voodoo kernal is just like flashing any other, I just need to disable lagfix in Red CWR if I wanted to flash a non-voodoo kernal correct? I just want to know of a fairly stable voodoo kernal that I should use. I know that all the uv,sv,oc,lv etc has to do with overclocking/undervoltage right? I just don't know what all those abbrev stand for (like sv...) I still need to read up on ADB, install SDK, etc in case I need to use it. I don't really care about overclocking, I just want the lagfix that comes with voodoo. Also, I'm pretty sure that when a stable 2.2 rom is released, that it will require voodoo kernals?? Any info or advice would be appreciated.

Yes flashing voodoo is same as flashing non voodoo. And you can disable lagfix through red clockwork to flash a non voodoo. The abbr are oc-overclock sv standard voltage lv-low voltage ul-ultra low. The best way to find what's right for you is just trial and error. Phones vary on what they can handle. Some are great with lower voltage and some will not accept it at all.
