Help optimus 2x won't connect to PC via USB (or bluetooth)

D3V0

Lurker
I purchased a LGP990hN a couple months ago and had no problem connecting it to my PC via USB or bluetooth. The phone had other issues though (consistently crashed) so it was replaced under warranty by entirely new and unused LGP990hN. New LGP990hN will not connect to my PC via bluetooth or USB cable. When i plug the phone into my PC, the battery begins charging and notifications on my computer alert me that a LG device has been connected and that the device is working properly but i am unable to find the find or access the device on my PC. Tried this on a friends computer with same results. Same via bluetooth connection. I am able to locate the device but device refuses to accept any file transfers, etc. Proper and current drivers are in place and I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the LG drivers on my PC, restoring factory settings of the phone, checking/unchecking usb mass storage only, checking/uncecking USB debugging, etc.
Advice?

I just inherited my son's P999 on T-Mobile. I'm not an expert, but, I had the same problem until I went into "Settings" and selected "SD Card & Phone Storage". You can check the box labled "Mass Storage Only" which fixed my problem.

Good Luck !
