Help Optimus V & Windows 8 USB drivers

Has anyone found drivers that work for the Optimus V that are for Windows 8? I had a notebook with Win7 and everything worked fine with my Optimus V and then it died. I got a new one that had Windows 8 on it and the drivers appear to install correctly but I don't have any visual on the Optimus when connected and nothing on the phone shows USB connection. Any help would be appreciated.
