Help OTA updates when rooted?

As the title suggests, do you still get them for android?

Such as a rooted S5 on the stock ROM receiving the Lollipop upgrade?

Just being rooted in and of it self without any other modifications would not stop you from getting ota alerts. With that being said,any applied update will most likely cause you to lose root. So be prepared to regain root if one is available for the device after the ota has been applied.

OTA updates for rooted phones are not that reliable. Instead phones with pre installed custom ROM like Cyanogen can perform better. Yu brand will be releasing this new phones.
