phone not charging

The lock screen says charging but the battery icon didn't have the lightning bolt and is also not animated showing its charging...any help would be appreciated
 
Try cleaning the plug and connector Sharp toothpick and vacuum cleaner. Lint or dirt could be preventing a good contact.

If on a USB port of a computer ... try a different port ... better still try a wall charger.

Tried my wall charger and my data cable to USB port...same results. Only thing that seems to charge it is my car charger
