Help Phone Won't Charge

Here recently my s6 edge decided to not allow me to charge. The odd thing is that when I plug and then unplug the charger, upon unplugging it the phone will think I just plugged it into a dock. It's the weirdest thing. I'm hoping someone has experienced something similar and found a fix.

Try clearing the cache also boot into safe node and try to charge. Weird problem but perhaps theres a corrupt setting. If that doesnt work back it up and get a replacement.

put a bit of alcohol in the bottle's cap.

dip the power plug in the alcohol, insert and remove it from the phone at least 3 times, more is better.

dry it off with compressed air ( gently ) and viola, bet it works.
