Root Phone won't power on long after rooting

So I was driving home from work like any other day. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary to my phone in over a week. I'm on the road, and I don't connect my phone to my work WIFI, so if any of my apps updated recently they haven't updated since before I left for work. I'm listening to spotify and I'm about to change the song, not really looking at my phone tho. out of the corner of my eye I see the screen is a lot brighter than I expect and I see that the shutdown menu has popped up on its own, I start pressing the back button but it continues to turn off.

Pressing the power does nothing. The only way I can get it to try to turn on is to take the battery out and when I put the battery back it attempts to turn on my only shows the LG splash screen and the home button lights up. Also it shows the splash screen twice which I don't think is the regular way it powers on. This whole thing only takes 4-5 seconds and then everything turns off again and I can't get any of the buttons to do anything.

I rooted my phone over a year ago and never installed any ROMs, and I'm running 4.1.2. I only rooted it so I could extend my internal memory with DataOnSD. The only related problem I can think of is every so often (maybe every other week) the phone would just immediately shutdown, but I never saw it bring up the shutdown menu and it would turn on again with no problem. This has been happening for months.
I have tried to boot into recovery mode while it is turning on after reinserting the battery, nothing I have tried works.

Theres no way the battery could be dead, I almost never get it below 40% and I charge it every night, including last night.

This happened to my sisters F6. Turns out the power button some how got stuck so I had to open up the phone and readjust the power button.

I don't see how that could be it. I can get it to attempt to turn on by taking the battery out. I didn't think about this until I took the whole back half off tho. The power button looks to be in the right place. I even get the mechanical feedback when I press in the power button just like all the other buttons.
