phone won't shut down

[Android Question]

hi i've a galaxy s2 and when i try to access the google play store it will for about 2 seconds then returns to phone screen which freezes for about 5secs. Also when battery is fully charged the screen when not used will not close down but will when battery is half full!! Phone will not fully close down either.

Something's a bit messed up. Try just pulling the battery out for a minute or two, and see whether that clears it.

Otherwise, this sounds screwy enough that I'd be tempted to try a backup then factory reset, see whether it behaves OK after that, then reinstall your apps and data.
