Photon 4G gone bad :(

Hello,

I bought a Motorola Photon 4G from ebay and it was on gingerbread and worked fine. Everything was fine until I decided to flash it and thats where I made the biggest mistake. BTW i bought it in India and I m using Tata Docomo as carrier. All was fine.

Now the problems I have:

1. When I turn phone on it shows: "Contacting Network" and stays like that for 5 mins. or so.

2. International Roaming - It tells me that I am in international roaming and shows the small triangle sign above the network bars.

3. It asks me to activate the phone with sprint.

How to fix ??

Thanks.

Are you using the phone in INDIA, or, roaming?

I'm not well versed in carriers outside of the U.S., but, from what I've read from the WIKIPEDIA page on TATA DOCOMO, it all depends on where you are (if still in INDIA) that determines whether the phone will work or not, as is.

I'm guessing your best bet is to contact a CSR w/your service provider & explain your dilemma w/them.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I have fixed it.
I am using it in India on an Indian operator.

I was doing all wrong with flashing thing until someone at xda helped me out.
Now its all working and I am on ICS CM9.

Thanks.

Glad to hear you're running ICS, like having a brand new phone, I imagine.
