Help Picasa not working on Maxx HD?

Just got my Razr Maxx HD. On my Galaxy Nexus and Droid Razr you can view your Picasa web albums from the gallery and you can also upload photos to the gallery.

On the Maxx HD I just purchased the Picasa gallery does not show up in the Gallery app. Also when I hit the share button on a photo I have taken it shows Picasa as an option to upload via but every time I try it says it failed to retrieve account information. Picasa does not show up anywhere in the accounts & sync area of the phone to enable either.

Ideas?

Verizon blocked it.to push their Pay Cloud service. Do some searching. There is a fix but it requires Root. FU VERIZON

They blocked it but still left it in the UI? That's a bit odd.

It is odd. You can click on the check box. It never fixes it. No picasa without root
