Help Pictures disappeared when calling

After a system update my contact photos no longer show up when making or receiving calls or on my text messages and I can't figure ot how to get them showing.

Are they Gmail contacts? If not then maybe that's why. Though if they are I ain't really sure. I'll try take a look.
