Hello everyone -
I have a Droid Bionic that has been flashed to page plus wireless, and I have the droid OS 4.04. The Wireless place that flashed it said DO NOT update to the newest OS or I will have to get it flashed again. Well I was in a coffee shop and as usual, the pop up reminder for the update - and I accidentially hit update and it started. I have the battery out, and it's about half way through the installing process. How can I stop it???!!!!! Please help!

Was it installing or downloading. Because if it was installing you might be out of luck, it depends on where it was on the install. Try putting the battery in and see what happens.

It saked to install the update - I have the battery pulled, but when I turn the phone back on it has the droid bot and the bar showing it is halfway through the install process....

When you put the battery in press and hold both volume buttons and power and see if a menu appears to see if you can get into recovery. If you can get the menu use volume down to highlight recovery then volume up to select. When the droid on his back appears press both volume buttons again. You should be in recovery. Volume down to wipe and power to select then go to factory data reset and power again to select. I don't know if this will work but its your only option besides letting it update.

I am also going to move this to the bionic section of the forum.

Also Welcome to the forums, glad you joined.
