Help Please help with Gallery?

Hi, I have had a flip phone forever and a desktop computer. I am so behind on technology..sigh. I got a new Samsung galaxy tablet 3. gt-n5110 model for Xmas. I have a photo icon, and a gallery icon. The gallery icon, has hundreds of pics on it from facebook and maybe my gmail acct. I want to delete tons of pics from gallery. I've read that I need to delete my gmail acct, etc. I'm afraid I won't be able to figure out how put it back in if I do that. Can anyone give me instructions on how to just delete some pics from gallery? I clicked and held on an album or pic, but no trash box, etc came up to click on. Thank you SO much. I'm really dumb on this and can't afford to hire someone to help me in person.

just to be sure you do have the samsung galaxy note 8, right?

if so i moved you to the note 8 forum for better views.

i do not have your tablet so i can't be of much help.

would it not be easier to connect your tablet to your computer and go to your media folder and delete your photos that way?
 
Go to Settings/Accounts (probably in General). You'll see an Add account. When you've deleted the accounts you want to delete (facebook, etc.) just Add account. (You may want to press on each account first and copy any information in that account - like an email address, etc. - so you'll have it to add back later.)
 
I've read I need to delete picasa? I don't see an app for that. Is that what gallery pics are from? I have gmail and facebook on my samsung. :)

no gallery is just another app. if you have a file manager you can access your pics that way as well. your photos should be in a folder called DCIM.

the note 3 is a phone albeit a massive phone coming in at 5.7"........some may call it a phablet (phone+tablet)

the note 8 is a tablet and nothing else. if it is not the note 8 then it has to be the samsung galaxy tab 3, but the model number you gave does not match it.
 
Don't know about your unit but on some tablets you tap and hold then release. On some apps a small box appears, the one you tapped will have a check box. You can then hit delete at the bottom or you may need to hit the menu button and delete. If you want to delete more than one you can tap each little box and select more than the first one.

First thing you should do is remove Sync of pictures from Facebook. 2nd, remove Sync of your Google pictures. If the pictures that have loaded up were not loaded onto the tablet manually, then there's no way to individually remove them, as they are just sync'ing with the pictures you have stored/connected to those accounts (e.g. Facebook and Gmail).

Rather than give you a full rundown on how to remove Sync, I think it's much easier to watch these videos

Thank you. I'm going to check and read. Also, now I see a drop box that has over 100 pics in it....sigh. I didn't register or sign on it and don't see any way to unsync that. Is there a way to delete that app? thank you again. :)
