Hello everybody,

I would like to ask you a question because I am totally dissatisfied with my browser (Ti-Zen) on my Samsung UE55KS9000 smart-tv.
I would like to transform him with the help of an androidbox or -stick to have more possibilities and enrich my internet experience on TV.

What I would very much like to see are the following possibilities :

1. Print web pages on a Wi-Fi Printer + a good browser
2. Send emails via TV
3. Download Android apps from the google play store and install them.
4. Integration with a samsung smart phone A5 (2016) (not primarily)
5 and, if possible, a good remote control for the TV and all his functions.

Which best solution can you put me in front of me ?

Thank you very much for your willing help and cooperation.
Your suggestions are very welcome and I will examine them further because I do not know of them at the moment.

Kind regards,

I'm genuinely not aware of anything that would meet all your criteria.

A lot of the cheapo Chinese boxes don't come with Google Play Services meaning installing anything outwith what's actually on the box is a pain/impossible. You're also kinda screwed if they stop working as manufacturer support can be non existent.

The higher end boxes (Roku etc) are locked down and will only let you install media apps via their own marketplaces.

An Amazon fire box might, but again you'd be limited to the Amazon app store.

nVidia have Shield TV, but that's quite expensive.

There's also the Nexus Q, but that's old and may no longer be supported.

Note that your TV is running Tizen, an operating system developed and maintained by Samsung. and it is not an Android based OS:

Does this mean I can't use an android box ?
Doesn't such boxes work independantly apart from the OS running on the TV ?

Kind regards,

You can still add another set top box (Android or otherwise) if you find the existing, integral interface of your TV to be lacking, and you can still interact with your Android devices (as long as everything is connected to your home network). The issue is you can't just use the Play Store and install Android apps onto your TV, it is not running the Android operating system.

You have to download the play store app on the computer and transfer it to the box by USB drive. Once you got the play store working, just download Chrome

Taking into consideration there is no Play Store app for a desktop computer (it's only accessible via its web interface using a web browser), please give details on how to do this.

You can download the play store apk via apkmirror and copy to a USB drive.

You'd need more than just the apk (presumably framework files too), but on the surface it's doable.

But you cannot download just any apk from the Play Store, the previous reference stating, "...download the play store app on the computer and transfer it..." Please elaborate on how this can be accomplished.

Also, getting back to the OP's actual query, with advice given on using APKs either from the Play Store or just downloading from a web site, please also elaborate how to install apps for Android onto a TV running Tizen.
