Help Plummeting battery and sporadic signal

Maybe I just haven't cycled the battery enough yet but I am down to 11% today with less than 8 hours since it was off the charger. Like 15min of calls, 30 texts, 5 emails, a video, and a little web browsing. I seriously hope it gets to be better than this. Was hoping to be able to get at least 12 hours out of it. Maybe I should just order the extended battery.

Yeah, battery life is draining pretty fast. Unplugged at 100% at 6:30am, did a few texting, about 1 hr of pandora on the way to work, played around with it some more for about 30-45 minutes. Screen display is set at ~45% brightness and can only get 3G at work. Checked the battery status and it's at 45% remaining at 10:30am (4hrs) with the following stats: 57% screen, 20% AOS, 5% phone idle, 5% mediaserver, 5% cell standby, 4% pandora, 2% android system.

I don't think it'll last a full day of moderate use. How do I turn 4G off when I'm in a 3G only location?

You can toggle 4G & 3G or just 3G by going to:

Settings:More...:Mobile networks:Network mode
