Root Possible to limit my n4 cm11 to edge not h/h+?

I just moved to rural NM and have found that when my n4 connects at h & h+ my data never loads. At edge speeds it takes a very long time but actually loads.

Is there a way to always connect to edge? Or another fix for this?

First thing to do is make sure your APN settings are correct for your carrier.

Would they be different from Maryland to new Mexico? And they worked fine in the city (Albuquerque) but not so much down south.

They should be the same for the same carrier. If you haven't changed carriers then it's a coverage issue.

Actually my APN was set to metropcs instead of T-Mobile. Got they switched. Hopefully it will help. There also was an option in the menu there for 2g or 3g as my preferred. Thank you for the help.
