Accessories Powerskin battery case review

The bottom pic appears to show a microUSB slot in the case. Is it only for charging the case or is it a pass-through where you can also connect the phone to PC?

I don't think I saw a mention of the price.
 
The price for the Inspire model is being closed out right now at Powerskin for $5. That's not a typo. I haven't tried connecting in a way other than charging I'm afraid
 
Pulled the trigger. It was $9.94 with shipping.

Edited to add: the reviews on amazon suggest data won't pass through. This doesn't bug me as I use an FTP server app on the phone (and filezilla) to move files to/from the phone.
 
Got it in the mail; professionally packed and packaged. Looks and feels nice.

I installed it on my phone and it works fine.

I won't use it as a daily driver because it's very thick, and because the lip does not provide as much screen protection as my Casemate Tough. The powerskin allows the phone to touch surfaces when facedown.

Will use this for roadtrips and other times of expected lack of power.
